Welcome to the documentation
Modula is a Chrome extension that inserts the text you type again and again — standard replies, signatures, email templates — into any field on any website, in a few keystrokes. This documentation describes each of its features, with examples and step-by-step instructions.
How the documentation is organized
One page per feature, grouped into eight sections, in the order you discover Modula: getting started, your content, creating it, the tools that insert it, your library, your data, settings, and help.
Each page is split into topics. Each one explains what the feature is for, then gives, as needed:
- Example — a real-life situation;
- How to — the steps, with the exact names of the buttons;
- Good to know — a detail, a limitation, a tip.
In the contents on the left, the arrow next to a page unfolds its topics: one click takes you straight to the one you want.
Above the contents, By topic sorts the pages by section; By level sorts the same topics from starter to expert. Your choice is remembered.
Levels
Each topic has a level. You don't have to read everything: start with the first ones, the others will come with use.
| Level | For whom |
|---|---|
| Starter | You have just installed Modula: the essentials for a first success in a few minutes. |
| Basic | Everyday use, with what works as soon as Modula is installed, with nothing to set up. |
| Advanced | You turn on other tools and set Modula up to go faster on what you do often. |
| Expert | A large library, intensive use, a special case: maintaining and mastering. |
The Pro badge marks a feature reserved for the Pro plan, included in the 14-day trial. See Plan & Licence.
Searching
The field at the top left searches the whole documentation, titles and text alike. Type whatever words come to mind, in any order; accents and capitals don't matter. Press / to put the cursor there from anywhere on the page.
