Settings
Plan & Licence
Modula has two plans: Free and Pro. Installing it opens a 14-day trial with everything included. The licence is managed in Settings → Plan & Licence.

In the Options, a Pro badge marks the reserved features.
The trial and its end Starter
The trial starts at installation and lasts 14 days; the days left are shown in the icon menu. At the end, without a licence, Modula switches to the Free plan:
- your SmartTexts and SmartMails all stay there, and usable;
- beyond 20 SmartTexts or 5 SmartMails, you can no longer create new ones;
- site restrictions already set stay applied, but can no longer be changed.
The examples installed by the introduction (demo badge) don't count towards the limits.
Buying Pro Starter
In Settings → Plan & Licence, Buy Modula Pro — €9.99/year, or the Go Pro button in the icon menu on the Free plan. Payment is handled by our reseller; you receive a licence key by email.
Activating a key Basic
- Settings → Plan & Licence.
- Paste the key you received into Licence key, then Activate.
- “✓ Licence activated”: everything is unlocked, right away, on all your pages.

The key is checked at activation, then at most once a day: it's one of Modula's only two connections to the Internet. It only sends the key and its activation ID, never your texts. See Privacy.
Changing or removing a key Advanced
- Change: Change licence, paste the new key. The old one is only released once the new one is accepted: you're never left without a licence.
- Remove: Deactivate this licence frees the key for another computer; this one goes back to the Free plan.
