Launcher
The Launcher is a search box that opens over the page, from the keyboard. Type a few letters, confirm: the text is inserted into the field you were in. No need to know a keyword — recognising the title is enough.
Opening the Launcher Basic
On a page, with the cursor in an input field, press Ctrl+Space (⌘+Space on Mac). The Launcher opens in the middle of the page; your field keeps its place, and the text will be inserted there.
If the shortcut does nothing, another extension may already be using it: see Troubleshooting. The shortcut actually assigned is shown in Settings → Toolbox, Launcher tab.
Searching Basic
The search covers the title, content, keyword, category and, for a SmartMail, the subject and recipients. It is forgiving:
- accents and capitals don't matter:
cafefinds “Café”; - each word is searched separately, in any order:
late deliveryfinds “Delivery running late”.
It is the same search as in the Sidebar and the Options lists.
Choosing from the keyboard Basic

The preview Basic
To the right of the results, a column shows the current result as it will be inserted: formatting, fields in colour, category. You check before confirming.
The preview only appears if the window is wide enough (about 1150 pixels).
Searching within a category Advanced
Start with * followed by part of a category's name, then the words you're looking for: the search is limited to that category.

As soon as you type *, the matching categories appear below the field: click one, or press Tab to complete with the first.
Camille has a “Follow-up” in “Customer support” and another in “Sales”. She types *supp, Tab, then follow: only the first remains.
