Modula Modula documentation

Settings

Toolbox

The Toolbox is where you put your Modula together: one tab per tool, to turn it on, learn how to use it and set it up. It opens in the Options, Settings → Toolbox.

Turning a tool on or off Basic

Six tabs, in this order: Expander, Launcher, Sidebar, RightClick, Overbar, SelAction. At the top of each tab, a switch turns the tool on or off; the change applies at once, on all your pages.

On at installTo turn on
Expander, Launcher, Sidebar, RightClickOverbar, SelAction, SmartMails, quick actions, AutoFetch (Pro)

The green dot Basic

Each tab has a dot: green, the tool is on. A glance at the row of tabs tells you what's working.

A tool that is turned off keeps its settings visible, greyed out, with the message “Turn this tool on to change its options.”: nothing is lost, everything comes back when you turn it on again.

Turning SmartMails on Basic

SmartMails aren't a tool, but a type of content that several tools offer. Their switch is therefore above the tabs: SmartMails. See SmartMails.

Turning AutoFetch on or off Advanced Pro

AutoFetch isn't a tool either: it fills the insertion form of every tool. Its switch is next to the SmartMails one, to the right of the introduction: AutoFetch. When off, your links are kept, but no value is read any more. See AutoFetch.

Each tool's settings Advanced

Each tab presents the tool (“How to use it:”), then its settings:

TabSettings
ExpanderExpansion triggers: Instant, Space, Tab
LauncherKeyboard shortcut assigned, and how to change it
SidebarIcon positions remembered per site
RightClick—
OverbarBar positions remembered per site
SelActionTrigger, minimum length, SmartMails, SmartClips, quick actions

ℹ Learn more, at the top right of each tab, opens the tool's documentation.

The Restrictions line Expert Pro

At the bottom of each tab, a line recalls the tool's site restriction: “Restrictions: Accessible on all sites”, or “Block only on these sites (3 sites)”, followed by “(+ global restriction)” if a global restriction adds to it. Edit opens the Restrictions section. See Site restrictions.

Good to know

RightClick has no restriction of its own: its menu follows the categories' allowed sites.
